Cinquain Poetry

Poetry may not be as simple as one may think it to be. There are so many different styles of poetry out there. Recently bought a book on "how to write poetry", I must say it's gonna take me a while to absorb all the information that's in there. So today, let me introduce you guys to a type of poetry which is called "Cinquain".

Cinquain Poetry basically means
a stanza of five lines;
specifically, one that has successive lines of two, four, six, eight, and two syllables.

e.g. of a Cinquain format

Line one: one word
Line two: two words
Line three: three words
Line four: four words
Line five: one word

Here's my example:

Beauty

External, façade

Hiding, deceits, insecurities

Tear away this mask

Disappear
