The slim chances so hard to get
Every time I get a chance, my heart places a bet
I thought I had you, I thought twice
for these thoughts I had to pay a price
When the chance came and we got close
the judge ruled and he opposed
I stayed positive wishing for another chance
like a runner I took my stance
The chance came, got blown away
blown by the words she had to say
Then I pondered and I thought
to start with, it was probably my fault
The thoughts that I presumably created
which is beginning to make me feel jaded
As each minute pass
the chances no longer last
Maybe each minute defines
to move on, it’s time
Taking a Chance,
TGND
