It’s been a while and one ought to move on,
But heartaches, to heal, at times take long.

Disappointed & sad I tend to feel,
Wishing at times some things weren’t real.

What’s in your mind & what’s in your heart?
What was it that set us apart?

You took me up & brought me down,
I saw good days ahead, but now they’ve turned around.

Bitter and pathetic I try not to be,
Though sometimes, my feelings get the better of me.

How are you now, I would like to know;
Have you been happier having chosen to go?

As for me, I know I’ll be fine;
All I need is a little more time.
