The only way to free my thoughts
Is to put them down in words
Some of you may feel the same
While others feel it’s absurd

As I unlock the gates to my mind
I think of what to write
All the words I’ve got to find;
To place them in my sight

Recently, I’ve found it hard
To decipher all my thoughts
And when I searched deep in my heart
It only spoke of the low odds

So I tried to pen how I feel
Intending for you to know
Hoping your heart’s left unsealed
Waiting for me to make it whole

But as each day passed
My heart slowly grew stale
Wondering how long it’ll last
This one sided fairytale
