Empty Winter
Slowly as each leaf fell to the ground
Autumn exited without a sound
Then came winter
Cold and still
She sat by the window
Looking upon that once green hill
Now, the hill- snow concealed
As she sat, she pondered and thought
And wondered why she was distraught
The cold winter wind blew past her face
And soon the coldness intruded her space
She has never felt so empty before
Comparing this to lonely night falls
Sipping some of the coffee in her hands
Coffee never ever tasted so bland
What was this feeling lingering in her?
Causing all these emotions to stir
Sitting by the window, questions aplenty
If only the answers would come quickly
But that won’t happen, won’t happen anytime soon
So this girl she sat, in this cold winter room
Brrr,
TGND
