my help in times of need.

I've learnt not to depend on people, 

But to depend on God

I've learnt not to place people as my priority, 

My priority is God

I've learnt not to focus on pleasing people, 

I only need to please God

I've learnt not to seek happiness in people 

My happiness is God

For people will always disappoint, 

But God keeps his promises

People will cause you hurt, 

But in God we seek solace

People will cause you to doubt yourself, 

But God gives one security

People will create much uncertainty, 

Because only for God, I'm certain
